Kadokawa unveiled an exciting first preview on Monday for the upcoming anime based on Sawayoshi Azuma's manga 'The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil.' The promotional video brings us the news that this series will grace our screens starting in January 2024.
Furthermore, the production team surprised us with a new promotional image and introduced the artists responsible for bringing the show's music to life. The group 'Taiyō to Odore, Tsukiyo ni Utae' will perform the opening song titled 'Otowa,' while Kaori Ishihara will shine with the ending theme 'Gift.'
Good news for Crunchyroll fans, as they will be streaming the series simultaneously with its Japanese broadcast.
According to Crunchyroll, the plot takes us to a world where Masatora Akutsu, a demon tasked with recruiting followers at a human high school, seeks allies for Hell in his battle against the celestial angels. But his encounter with the enchanting Lily Amane leads to a heavenly and devilishly fun surprise.

The anime will be directed by Itsuro Kawasaki (known for 'Cardfight!! Vanguard G NEXT' and 'The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting'), and he will also handle the script. The anime's production will be carried out by Children’s Playground Entertainment in collaboration with GAINA. Character design will be handled by Yūko Yahiro (with works on 'Diabolik Lovers' and 'Kaguya-sama: Love is War'), while the music will be composed by Takurō Iga (experienced in 'Oshi no Ko' and 'Fuuka'). ANLA is in charge of music production.
The original manga, created by Azuma, made its debut in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine in June 2016. The 15th volume of the manga's collected book was published by Kadokawa on April 27, with the 16th volume scheduled for release on October 26. Additionally, the first volume of a spin-off manga will be released on October 26.
