The tenth-anniversary commemorative event of Danmachi (Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka) surprised fans by announcing the fifth season of the anime. During the event, the company revealed an exciting trailer, a tantalizing visual preview, and the official logo for "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V" (Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka V), with the suggestive title "I Wish It Would Come True!"
The fourth season, known as "Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka IV Shinshō Meikyū-hen" (Is It Wrong to Try to Flirt in Dungeons? IV: New Labyrinth Arc), was released in Japan in July 2022 and featured a total of 11 exciting episodes. HIDIVE is the streaming platform for this season under the title "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? IV."
The journey of this acclaimed anime series began in April 2015 with the first season, consisting of 13 episodes. The second season hit screens in July 2019 with 12 thrilling episodes. The third season made its debut in October 2020, after a delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Sentai Filmworks acquired the license for this season, which is available on HIDIVE. Crunchyroll used to stream the anime as well but removed it in March 2022. The anime franchise also includes two OVAs, the movie "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion," and "Sword Oratoria: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side," a spin-off TV series.
