Kadokawa unveiled a recent preview on Thursday for the television anime adaptation based on the novels "Sasaki and Peeps" (Sasaki y Pichan) by author Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku. The video not only introduces more cast members but also announces the show's premiere in January 2024.

The new additions to the cast include Miyu Tomita as Elsa, Inori Minase as Magical Pink, and Ryotaro Okiayu in the role of Akutsu.

Crunchyroll will be the platform responsible for streaming the series in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Additionally, the first episode will have its worldwide premiere during Anime NYC this weekend.

The main cast of the anime includes Tomokazu Sugita as Sasaki, Aoi Yuki as Pii-chan/Peeps, Rie Takahashi as Hoshizaki, and Akari Kitō as Otonari-san (the neighbor next door).

Mirai Minato, known for their work on "Masamune-kun's Revenge," "BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense," directs the anime under SILVER LINK. Deko Akao, responsible for scripts in series like "Higehiro," "Komi Can't Communicate," and "Flying Witch," is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts. Saori Nakashiki, known for "The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!" and "Tales of Wedding Rings," handles character design.

Yen Press is responsible for publishing the novels in English, describing the story as follows:

Although Sasaki's hectic corporate life leaves him exhausted and unsatisfied at the end of each day, he decides to seek companionship to fill the void in his life. By whimsically visiting a pet store, he unknowingly chooses an adorable bird that turns out to be a wise being from another world. This new roommate not only grants Sasaki supernatural abilities but also the ability to travel between worlds. Although Sasaki wishes to use these powers to lead a peaceful life, he encounters various colorful characters that could complicate his path...

The novel series, illustrated by Kantoku, began its publication in January 2021 and is still ongoing. In 2022, the novels won in the Tankōban and Novel categories in Takarajimasha's "Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi" guide.

Additionally, "Sasaki and Peeps" has a manga adaptation by Pureji Osho, which is serialized on Kadokawa's ComicWalker website. Yen Press will also release the English version of the manga.
