The event "Alya Birthday Fest 2023 Special Live Stream" unveiled a series of exciting updates: a birthday image, the highly anticipated release scheduled for April 2024, a first key visual, captivating character illustrations, and a heartwarming "Alya's Birthday Video" related to the anime based on the light novel series "Alya A veces oculta sus sentimientos en ruso" created by writer Sunsunsun and artist Momoco.

The novels, published in English by Yen Press, tell the story of Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou, known as the "lonely princess" of Seiren Private Academy. Despite her silver hair and outstanding academic performance, Alisa appears distant to most, responsible for keeping her classmate Masachika Kuze, who constantly frustrates her with his apathy and lack of interest, at bay. However, behind this facade, Alisa reveals her true feelings through whispered Russian words, expressing her affection discreetly. The only person who understands her secret language is Masachika, who listens carefully to her hidden confessions, keeping the mystery behind the meaning of her flirtations.

The anime is directed by Ryota Itoh (known for "My Senpai Is Annoying" and "Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie") at Doga Kobo, and he is also in charge of the scripts. Character design is handled by Yūhei Murota (from "Love Live! School Idol Project"), who also serves as the chief animation director. Ryō Kobayashi leads the production of the series.

The novels are published under Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko label, with the seventh volume released on September 1st. Additionally, in October 2022, Saho Tenamachi adapted the story into a manga version, available on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app.
