The official website of the anime series based on Izumi О̄kido's light novels, "Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo" (I Will Transform My Destiny into an Infamous Villainess), has unveiled a fresh image and announced that the series will premiere in 2024. The story follows Alicia, a young woman who despises classic heroines with impeccable morals. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she is reborn as a villainess in her beloved otome games. Determined to reach the pinnacle of infamy, Alicia strives to become the most wicked of villains in history, although oddly enough, the prince seems increasingly enchanted by her machinations.
О̄kido made her debut with this series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let's Become Novelists) platform in December 2018. In 2020, she released the light novels in collaboration with the illustrator Jyun Hayase. The fifth volume of this intriguing series landed on Japanese bookshelves on August 12.
On the other hand, Akira Hoshi adapted the story into a manga, which was published in Kadokawa's B’s-LOG COMIC in September 2020. The fourth collected volume of this manga joined the collection on the same day as the fifth volume of the light novels. With over 850,000 copies sold, including digital versions, this series has captured the hearts of countless readers.
