The exciting news was revealed on Thursday through the promotional wraparound of the fifth compiled volume of the manga "I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons" (Kisaki Kyōiku kara Nigetai Watashi), created by Uri Sugata and adapted from the light novel series of the same name by Izumi Sawano. The announcement confirmed that this captivating story will make its way to the screen in the form of a television anime, and to commemorate this event, Sugata shared words of gratitude, congratulatory messages, and heartfelt illustrations.

The light novel series has been licensed by J-Novel Club, and its plot is described as follows:

Duchess Leticia Dorman has been engaged to Crown Prince Clarke since she was just seven years old. Her days of being a mischievous, free-spirited child are long behind her, as the strict education she's received to mold her into a future princess has drastically restricted her lifestyle. Lettie's only hope is that one day the prince will become interested in someone else, and her wish seems to come true when Clarke appears at a royal ball with a mysterious woman by his side. Lettie is filled with joy, thinking her engagement has been broken. Without delay, she seeks the peace of rural life, but her newfound tranquility is threatened when the prince returns and declares that she is still his betrothed. Clarke is determined to win Lettie over and marry her, while Lettie is determined to resist his charms and escape. Who will prevail in this thrilling battle of wills?

Izumi Sawano began publishing this series of novels in August 2018 on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) website, and Shufu to Seikatsu Sha handled the publication of the novels with illustrations by Miru Yumesaki. On the other hand, Uri Sugata launched a manga adaptation on Shufu to Seikatsu Sha's manga website, "Comic PASH," in March 2020.

It's worth noting that this series enjoys notable success, with over 1.2 million copies in circulation.
