The official website of Shaman King Flowers, the sequel to the recent anime adaptation of Hiroyuki Takei's Shaman King manga series, unveiled a fresh announcement on Tuesday. This preview revealed the opening theme of the anime titled 'Turn the World,' performed by Nana Mizuki, the voice of Tamao Tamamura in the series. Additionally, it was announced that the series will premiere on January 9.

The anime will debut on January 9 at 24:00 JST on TV Tokyo (equivalent to January 10 at midnight JST or 10:00 a.m. EST on January 9) before airing on BS TV Tokyo.

The main cast of the anime includes:

- Yoko Hikasa as Hana Asakura
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Amidamaru
- Sumire Uesaka as Alumi Niumbirch
- Shun Horie as Yohane Asakura
- Michiko Kaiden as Gakko Ibuki
- Romi Park as Tao Men

The original cast will also return, featuring prominent voices like Nana Mizuki, Takumu Miyazono, Noriaki Kanze, Masahiko Tanaka, Wataru Takagi, Yōko Hikasa, Megumi Hayashibara, and Minami Takayama.

Among the new additions to the cast and characters are:

- Ami Koshimizu as Luca Asakura
- Kentaro Ito as Daiky® Oboro
- Kenta Miyake as Ryuuji Ichihara
- Chihiro Ueda as Namaha

The anime direction at Bridge will be once again handled by Takeshi Furuta (Utano☆Princesama Legend Star). Shoji Yonemura will continue as the scriptwriter, and Mayuko Yamamoto will take over the character design from Satohiko Sano.

Other staff members include Toshiumi Iizumi and Satoshi Mutsuda for soul design, Yuji Shibata for prop design, Jin’ya Kimura as art director/artistic design, Natsuko Otsuka as the key color artist, Teruyuki Kawase as the director of composition and photography, Kumiko Sakamoto for editing, Yuki Hayashi for music composition (known for Shaman King 2021, My Hero Academia, Haikyu!!, Gundam Build Fighters), Masafumi Mima as the sound director, and King Records in charge of musical production.

Shaman King Flowers, the sequel focused on Hana, was serialized in Jump X from 2012 to 2014. Hiroyuki Takei then launched the spin-off Shaman King The Super Star in 2017, although its hiatus was announced in September 2021. Both mangas are published in English by Kodansha USA Publishing.

The anime Shaman King, which premiered in April 2021, was globally streamed by Netflix starting from August 2022 and consisted of 52 episodes. The series adapted the 35 volumes of the new complete edition of the original manga, which Kodansha began publishing in printed volumes in Japan in June 2020. The first anime adaptation of the manga was released in 2001.
