Tarō Hitsuji revealed on Wednesday that the main journey of his light novels, "Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor" (Roku de Nashi Majutsu Kōshi to Akashic Records), will come to its conclusion with the publication of the twenty-fourth compiled volume on November 17.

In this "action and fantasy" narrative, Glenn is a part-time teacher at a magic school, known for scribbling "self-study" on the chalkboard and indulging in restorative sleep. The determined Sistine, one of his students, challenges him to a duel and is easily defeated. However, when a devastating incident threatens the school, Glenn displays fierce dedication to protect his students.

Kurone Mishima, the mastermind behind "The Devil is a Part-Timer!" and "Konosuba – God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!", illustrates the light novels. Volume 23 of the series was published by Kadokawa on October 21.

The anime adaptation, consisting of 12 episodes, made its debut in April 2017.

The anime was directed by Minato Kazuto at LIDEN FILMS. Touko Machida (known for works like "Lucky Star," "The IDOLM@STER," and "The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan") handled the scriptwriting and supervision. Konomi Suzuki performed the opening theme titled "Blow out," while the characters Sistine (voiced by Akane Fujita), Rumia (Yume Miyamoto), and Re-L (Ari Ozawa) participated in the performance of the ending theme, "Precious You☆."

Aosa Tsunemi began the manga adaptation in Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine in March 2015, and the tenth volume of the manga was published by Kadokawa in March 2019. Additionally, Kadokawa released a short story collection titled "Roku de Nashi Majutsu Kōshi to Tsuisō Nishi" in March 2016.
